All about eating local-join us at our Local Abundance Festival in October
Conventional agriculture is heavily dependent on fossil fuels and as the price of oil increases, so will the price of food. But there are alternatives. Sustainable organic farms, for instance, could provide food that is grown without chemical, petroleum-based fertilizers and gasoline-powered farm equipment. Eating locally grown and produced food drastically decreases transportation cost and greenhouse gas emissions.

Conventional produce travels 1,500 miles on average before it gets to your table!
